Beach Avenue Residence

Transforming two full levels of an iconic West Coast tower into a single, one-of-a-kind 6000sf waterfront residence presented no shortages of challenges. The space in it’s entirety was to be executed with extreme attention to detail, while maintaining a timeless and tailored balance of features and ‘supporting actors’, so to speak. The end result surpassed all of our Clients’ expectations, and the lengthy process of the build was deemed well worth the wait. Good things take time, as they say.

The clients’ primary directive was that it could be done in the first place; if a means to install a feature staircase through the post-tensioned slab, joining entertainment and bedroom levels was not feasible, there would have been no purpose to continue with the project.

Once this directive was proved out, the charge moving forward was to plan and execute every facet of the project with utmost attention to detail, maintain a timeless and tailored balance of features, providing a full AC & HRV system to the residence within a minimal 9-inch plenum, achieving a minimum ceiling height of 8 foot throughout.

The new headquarters of “La Tribuna” consists of several individual offices, open space offices and a meeting room, for a total of 300 square metres featuring minimalism, simplicity and lightness, that had to be taken into account when designing the lighting solutions.
